Do you want to know how much wealth your Member of Parliament (MP) holds? I can say with confidence that they’re definitely crorepati. That’s because 93% of MPs are crorepati now.

According to Association for Democratic Reforms, out of 543 winning candidates in Lok Sabha Election 2024:

  • 1 MP has total assets exceeding ₹5,000 crores.
  • 3 MPs have total assets exceeding ₹1,000 crores.
  • 30 MPs have total assets exceeding ₹100 crores.
  • 71 MPs have total assets exceeding ₹50 crores.
  • 227 MPs have total assets exceeding ₹10 crores.
  • 330 MPs have total assets exceeding ₹5 crores.
  • And most importantly, 504 out of 543 MPs are now millionaires.

If you want to know the total assets of your MP, visit https://www.myneta.info/LokSabha2024/index.php?action=show_winners&sort=asset. Search either by the name of your leader or by the name of your constituency.

The one who once called himself a “Fakir” (poor), is now wealthy! Because the total assets of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi have become over ₹3 crores. Let’s see how much Amit Shah’s total assets are: ₹65 crores. Rahul Gandhi’s total assets are: ₹20 crores. If any MP’s name comes to your mind, search and check their total assets by clicking on the above link.

You might wonder, what is the minimum educational qualification required to become an MP? Sort the list by education to get the answer. You will see:

  • 2 MPs have passed the 5th grade.
  • 4 MPs have passed the 8th grade.
  • 34 MPs have passed the 10th grade.
  • 65 MPs have passed the 12th grade.
  • 147 MPs are graduates.
  • 98 MPs are graduate professionals.
  • 147 MPs are postgraduates.
  • 28 MPs hold a doctorate.
  • 18 MPs have not defined their educational qualifications.

If you want to see how many criminal cases are against your MP, sort the list by criminal cases. You’ll be shocked to hear that 46% of MPs have declared criminal cases against them.

I want to ask an important question. Please share your answer in the comments: “Is it necessary to become a crorepati first to become an MP, or is it necessary to become an MP first to become a crorepati?”
